Every year, we want to know: How are Swiss companies championing DE&I? What are Swiss organizations doing to build inclusive cultures and foster inclusive leadership?
More Swiss companies are intentionally integrating DE&I into their overall organizational strategies. Despite debates around DE&I, an increasing number of companies were transparent and purposeful about these values. While diversity continued to receive more attention than inclusion, equity gained significant traction.
This growing commitment is also evident in how organizations are integrating inclusion and diversity into various parts of their strategy. Across all categories (explicit DE&I strategies, corporate strategies, HR, and ESG), diversity consistently appears more prominently than inclusion, followed by equity. While HR remains the most common area for these topics to be addressed, more companies are also linking DE&I to corporate and ESG strategies. However, a gap often exists between what is outlined in strategic plans and what is reflected in an organization’s core values and mission. The trend indicates meaningful progress, as more companies move beyond performative efforts and adopt integrated, organization-wide approaches to DE&I.
